How We Can Help

Financial advice tends to matter most once things stop being simple — when investments, superannuation, debt, insurance and business interests start affecting each other. Below is where we're typically involved, along with the specific services within each.

You've built wealth — is it working as one strategy?

Investment portfolios, direct shareholdings and borrowing arrangements can each look reasonable on their own and still work against each other once combined. We look at how your investments, gearing and portfolio structure fit together, not just how each element performs individually.

Approaching retirement, or already there

Retirement is rarely one decision — it's a series of them, from how your superannuation is structured now to how you'll draw an income later, and the financial side of aged care if it becomes relevant. We work through these as they come up, rather than as a single review.

Protecting your income and your family

The right level of cover comes from working through what would actually need to be replaced — income, debt, ongoing costs for your family — and we do that with you directly, in person.

Running a business, and keeping your finances aligned

Business debt, property, personal lending and business protection insurance often sit with different people and get reviewed at different times. We look at how these interact — including where a decision in the business affects your personal position, and vice versa.

How we work

Alongside your accountant and lawyer

Aspen's practice began inside an accounting firm, advising its own accounting clients, before becoming its own licensed company in 2015 — so working alongside an accountant is closer to how we started than a coordination process we've bolted on. We stay in contact as things progress, so decisions on one side don't come as a surprise on the other.

Advice scoped to what you need

For some clients, that means working across everything — investments, super, insurance, debt and structure. For others, it's a specific question, often about their investments, and that's exactly what we advise on. Either way, the context comes first, so the advice fits — and stays relevant if things change.

Not every adviser is authorised to advise on every area above. Please see our adviser profiles for each adviser's specific authorisations, and our Financial Services Guide for full details.
